Day 5 of 100

100 outfits, 100 different days...

Day 5.  What is on tap today?  A little grocery shopping and a business meeting.  I'm a stay at home mom of 2.  My son is 10 and my daughter is about to be 15. (I cringe a little to think of it.)  I spend my days running errands and doing whatever I can to enrich the lives of those around me.

As an interior designer I enjoy transforming spaces.  It's super awesome to know that my work is my client's reward.

I love interior design so why the blog? It was my daughter's idea.  She said "Mom, you dress great every day.  You should do something with that."  So I said "100 outfits in 100 days?"  It has a nice ring to it, and with my passion for fashion it just fit.

SHOPPING CORNER

Sparkles and military green were on tap today.  Before you think I'm crazy for pairing sparkles and military green, I know that they go together for a fact...  My sister was a marine and she pretty much only wears things that sparkle and shine!  Love ya Candace!

I am a fan of layering pieces and today I layered 3.  I started with a black sequined tank under a black silk button up tunic. A black leather motorcycle vest completed the look.  I topped them all off with a military green zip up motorcycle jacket with leather lapel and accents. (Marc New York)

I could have worn rolled up boyfriend jeans but thought that would be too predictable.
So to balance that hard edged look I chose a black legging in a sweet damask patterned.  My black Jessica's fit the bill.

When my daughter saw me today she said "Mom you look sooo cute.  I like your pants.  They make your butt look good."  Quite the compliment!  I guess today I succeeded in getting noticed.

THE WEATHER REPORT

IT'S STILL WINTER.  I'm still freezing.  It's still not fair.  This is Texas.

JEWELRY DARLING

I kept it easy today, with a chunky silver chain and dangle earrings.  A silver mega cuff bracelet (TJMAXX) finished me off.

MAKE-UP COUNTER

My Mom says that my make-up counter looks like a Chanel Cosmetic Store threw up on it.  I collect them like two dollar bills.  I have a few.  I wanted a darker look today and Chanel's Winter Nights came to the rescue.  Oh the irony.
